Re: Preppering NOT to survive?
Strictly speaking I'm prepping for more personal events, like loss of home or income or local problems with transport, weather etc. That said I do have one eye on the more global picture and for that I am prepping not so much for myself as my family as I am unsure how long I would survive without a ...

Re: 5 POUND PREPS
Went back to the start of this post and read the prices mentioned less than a year ago, make interesting reading! Bought a heap of sugar in lidl for 69p kg , haven't seen it that cheap for a long time.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week
Have picked the fruit and made 56 pots of jam, mostly raspberry and blackcurrant, feeling very virtuous, but knackered1
Think I might freeze most of the rest of the fruit! I can always make the jam and juices later on - when the weather is cooler!

Welcome to the forum, I think pseudonym pretty well covered it, keep your preps to yourself and ignore the so called friends who put you down.

Re: My preps for a cashless society
Wow! inspiring tale, Mally, I really hope it all works out, learning skills is good and new ways of life. You'll no doubt meet all sorts of people from all sorts of backgrounds and it all sounds exciting. Even if things shouldn't pan out ( and I REALLY hope they do), just the experience would be wor...

Re: Loft storage
Thanks for the suggestions, yes Briggs I would love to put vents in my container, and a window and "ordinary" door, to make it so much more useful but unfortunately I can't do any of that myself, lack of skill and health. Members of my family who could do it, are always too busy and don't ...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week
Been checking supplies and realised I'd not added much of late and with the current news being all doom and gloom, mind you that's not unusual, thought I'd better add some , so got 12kg sugar, 12 tins beans, 2 kidney beans, 12 peas, 6 sweetcorn, 2 pineapple, 2 fruit salad, 4 pkts curry rice, 4 noodl...

Re: Loft storage
Very short of space in our house anyway, even without the preps! So I have stored stuff in the loft, in a shipping container and in the main house (mostly on the landing upstairs and under beds.) The container was useless for tins, they started to get rust spots quite quickly. The loft was ok, I cov...
