Re: Bug Out vest?
If you're going on dragons den how about pitching the idea of a stealth vest that just looks like a beer gut?

Re: vehicle for bugging out
I've got a few customers and friends who keep horses . I'm not sure if it's a prerequisite for keeping them but the majority do seem to be able to moan for long periods at a time , how much hard work horses are , how expensive they are with all the food and vets bills , how to deal with all the muck...

Re: vehicle for bugging out
Not directly concerned with using horses as a bug out option but more concentrating on replacing motor transport this makes for an interesting read , apparently just to replace the farm tractors in the US would require 23million horses.

Re: What preps are you doing this week? part 2.
Today and tomorrow I shall be continuing my quest for order , and de cluttering the yard. Funnily enough I've been doing just the same. I'll admit to being a bit of a squirrel and if something has a potential use or value then home it comes. To that I decided it was time to clear out all the scrap ...

Re: Polish Puma backpack
Sorry to resurrect this thread . Possibly good that you went for the patrol pack rather than the Polish jobbie , I came across this review recently and the author ( a Dane who seems to collect and bitch about military gear) is very scathing about almost every aspect of this bag from the camouflage ,...

Re: So You want to Bury a shipping Container?
With regards to the whole hidden in plain view idea I saw somewhere a suggestion to use a tanker lorry. I can recall a story about whiskey being shipped in milk tankers to make it appear not worth stealing and then there's the scene in Cagney's film White Heat where the gang hide inside a petrol tan...

Re: So You want to Bury a shipping Container?
Good to see the article also mentions all the other pitfalls and potential problems of any sort of bunker both underground or otherwise. Personally I think they are great for storage , although condensation can be a problem in any steel structure , and can be delivered and operating as a secure plac...

Re: What are we planning to grow this year?
So what are we planning to grow? Short answer is more. In general I'll be growing pretty much the same as last year. Only differences are going to be I'm trying celeriac , sweet corn and possibly sweet potatoes. One thing I'd like to try is a plant I saw on the Tudor monastery farm series and that ...

Re: Serrations..... Discuss
Though I do catch my wife using the back of a serrated "Kitchen devil" knife to spread marg with sometimes when someone else has disappeared the butter knife. Perhaps I'm your wife then , ignoring the biology , because I tend to use the bread knife to spread the butter too :D I'm probably...
