Re: "new" sticking plasters....

My wife is allergic to most plasters so I think it may be worth a try because the problem is most likely adhesive, wont solve everything I know but could be useful.

Re: Augmenting the stash: Pesto etc.

Pesto is my latest next big thing DAMMIT! I had opened 2 jars of pesto on 13 and 15 May: 1 red, 1 Green In just 13 days, both had LOTS of visible mould growing on the top and inside the lids. Re: Augmenting the stash: Pesto etc.

I had a bit of bad luck with evaporated milk - cans leaked ( well past BB date) had similar issues with tinned fruit and tomato puree, lots of stuff is sort of off limits as a diabetic now. Aldi and Lidl do cheap and reasonable jars of pesto, asides from a quick google I'd say buy some and try it as...

Re: Augmenting the stash: Pesto etc.

All good points, and after many years I had a major sort out noticing how poorly my rotation has been I'm having a reset because not only that but it turns out clearly we don't ( or wont) eat what we store and as it turns out if we did we could have made health issues worse, too much processed and h...

Re: Cannabis for pain relief

Grow your own and bake cookies. You might put on weight with the munchies but you wont damage your lungs. Munchies.jpg It will be interesting to see how that case develops. I would be cautious of eating or drinking it, I knew someone who did that, the effects can take some time to come on, this per...

Re: Cannabis for pain relief

I'm well aware of the benefits for people with long term illnesses such as CFS, MS , EDS, etc I have known many people who used it, the downside is you are smoking and we all know that has big drawbacks, as for CBD oil and difficulties getting it on prescription? There are so many people out there w...

Re: What about this?

Wouldn't get my wife anywhere near a boat she's seen Jaws too many times, plus I'd like to put some distance between me and the coast. :D

Re: Where should I go in case when SHTF

Deeps usually puts his finger on the sort of stance I tale on this sort of thing, everyone must ponder it, and yes in an ideal world a like minded bunch sounds great.... but it's far fetched. I've posted before that as we live in communities anyway, it might be worth forging good relations with neig...

Re: Hidden retreat?

the amount of soil/ rock/ clay you need to excavate and get rid of is phenomenal I once asked a mate how his Rabbits managed to dig their homes without him seeing the spoil, apparently they go to great length to spread it out, which has me thinking would that solve the issue? Spread out the spoils.
