and a kitten. We want pics! What Andy said. :D (If you show me yours, I'll show you mine. ) What they said  except I have no kitties right now... Am also furthering my own preps by decluttering ... 40-odd magazines I'm seeing if I can sell them to a magazine site, otherwise they'...

Re: Storage advice please
It *is* cracking, isn't it I've considered myself a prepper for ages, but I don't do all of this ... I check cans for dents, by the way, that much I *do* do

Re: 3 sources of fuel.
I didn't live with central heating til I was in my twenties so I'm not bothered about whole house heating. I still don't have the heating on in my bedroom. Me too! Yay, another kindred spirit :) Even in deepest winter, I don't put the heating on till I get up, which comes from years of having no ti...

Re: Hiding Your Equipment
I've been reconstructing my fake handbag - the one I leave downstairs as a distraction for thieves  I always used to use old credit cards, and I might still use a card for an account that I don't use any more. But if its an account thats still in use, they've still got a lot of valuable inf...

Re: Self defence and self awareness
I have a pitiful amount of training in self defence, nothing like you're describing, Danny, but I like that list - and the last one on there has never occurred to me, checking for injuries - a very good point about adrenaline masking what's happened to you. Avoidance is crucial, isn't it, even in or...

Re: 3 sources of water.
Good post! I have stored water ... about 30 litres (just for me). I have a mini Katadyn filter. I have purification tabs. I have sand, charcoal and cloth to set up 2 expedient filters from empty supermarket water bottles. And there's a stream very close to me that I need to think/learn how to get t...
