Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 11

Does prepping have to be seen as ‘Armageddon’ ? Preparation for bad times has been out there since day one of mankind. Only recently has the idea become an ‘idea’ as folks can buy food etc within moments. Right now our personal situation is changing, and our storage ( for example) is changing toward...

Re: My current prepping

The name changing helps, although where joint ( and married) there is no rush,as the law allows our relationship. The videos are excellent, especially where safety is an issue. ;) I forgot about the marriage bit, it made things a lot easier for my sister when her late husband died. But there's such a...

Re: My current prepping

That's an amazing overview, jansman. I really like the sound of the videos to help your wife, and a huge amount of trouble can be avoided by changing the name on the accounts, as you've already done. As an ecowarrior, though  I'm wincing a little bit   sorry! The name changing h...

My current prepping

Hi folks! :D I do hope you are well. As many here know,I’m not well, and I’m not gonna get well. So right now, whilst I can I’m keeping issues up to date and sorting out to help my dear wife in future. It all helps me mentally too, including writing here!👍 So… We have basic garden maintenance and impro...

Re: Gold content of jewellery and scrap gold

Over the years I have collected a lot of gold and silver. My first collection went easily towards paying 50% of the mortgage.I was lucky ,as my late stepdad was rather an expert and bought and sold a lot,and profitably too.Since the mortgage freedom I’ve built another collection, which our youngest d...

Re: Anyone hunting or fishing these days?

There are rules over eels as it’s a rare fish now. There are only 900 licensed fishermen allowed at commercial level. Also on still waters particularly you need permission to take fish.

Re: blue badge

Like I say, life pulls you up short and there's always someone worse off. Being in the care sector most of my adult life didn't make me heartless and I wasn't when I first joined and trained. But looking after the genuinely ill and needy makes you less tolerant, not more, of the chancers and lead s...
