Re: Hello from Sharlie in Combe, Witney, Oxfordshire
Hi Sharlie! Welcome to the forum - I think you're right, the only way to go is community building in small, local arenas like villages. Its a big debate point, on *how* to do that exactly, but it seems essential.
Welcome!
Welcome!

Re: Advice on my options ( in a serious social collapse)
Mm, bit of a reality check here. Where would you take your caravan to? Never mind the journey there, what would it be like once you're there? How many other people would refugee there? How would you and your wife and two small children *actually* cope out there? Could you make a life there? What if ...

Re: Fixing Agroforestry
It sounds "efficient", but nature may not cooperate! In an area that size, you may have differing soil types, there may even be previous settlement under the soil (a la Time Team, you know, walls, or demolition rubble, that affect the roots of the crop, even though you can't see anything)....

Re: New prepper from liverpool
Welcome! I'm from Merseyside originally (Bootle, not Liverpool  ) but live many, many miles from there now. Check out the forum, there's loads of stuff on here about how to get started. Think of flooding, power cuts, house fires - the "normal" emergencies, and go from there. If the po...

I think it also very much depends on what happens and whe...

Re: Is your food storage helping right now?
Its mostly helping me feel secure that I have food to last me, whatever happens. My stocks are quite odd: I'm a vegetarian, so I have a *lot* of packets of dried beans and pulses, but when I first started I ordered loads from Approved Foods, and I didn't pay enough attention to expiry dates, so I bo...
