Re: A couple of recommended power preps

Some good items there fapplan, I got the same radio DE13 for exactly the same reason and haven't had any complaints with it at all. I bought one of those torches as well, for the price the build quality is excellent and talk about bright from a single aa battery. The only fault is it takes ages to c...

Re: What are you forever forgetting?

Much like Pseudonym, I keep getting sharp reminders that my health has gone down hill in the last few years. I don't as a rule push myself anymore but sometimes even walking uphill can make leave me breathless and full of chest pain, and thats without carrying anything. But I still keep looking at b...

Re: What preps are you doing this week? part 2.

Had my birthday last week, only one person asked what I wanted so I finally got my hands on a sawyer mini :D, although everyone did club together and buy me a remote control helicopter which while being a lot of fun isn't really prepping related. Money has been a bit tight cos as usual the wife over...

Re: What preps are you doing this week? part 2.

Had a break though last week with the light of my life  We went away for a couple of days, bit of a rush job so the packing didn't get done quite as usual. We got to the hotel she unpacks " Oh no I've forgotten my tooth brush" I kept quiet till we were going out for dinner and "we'll pick one ...

Re: Medical scenario 1

My own personal thought would be to torniquet for a catastrophic bleed, but to release it every hour for a short period.
That's what I was taught many moons ago, but only when ambulances aren't readily available and it's likely to be a while before one gets to the casualty.

Re: Warning Signals In Your Urine Color

Just as point of interest I'm sure I read somewhere that urine smelling of sugar puffs is an indication of too much sugar in your system.

Which doesn't necessarily mean you're diabetic but if it smells of sugar puffs regularly I'd be tempted just to mention to your GP next time you see 'em.
