Re: Foraging books
How do you actually find the fungi? I've walked through plenty of woods, but I don't remember ever seeing any. It took me 6 years to find all the fungi I photographed in Edible Mushrooms . I walked thousands of miles, also went on a fungi-hunting holiday to Scotland and was working as a foraging te...

Re: Foraging books
It is not a lottery. You just have to know what you are doing. Start with the easy stuff and leave the more dangerous stuff until you are more experienced. I've eaten over 300 different species of wild fungi. I've had digestive problems more than once, but in each case I knew I was at zero risk of ...

Re: Buying gold, what should I know?
So I am about to dip my toe into the pond, so to speak. I want to buy a little gold to keep as an investment/safety net and could rely on the internet, but prefer to ask people here who are likely to give me better advice. So far, I know to buy from a reputable source, there are a couple of places ...

Hello
I am surprised I have not come across this forum before. I have been collapse aware since my late teens, and I am currently 56. I write books for a living, including the most comprehensive guide to European fungi foraging ever published in English. I now live on a smallholding in West Wales, which i...
