Today, a half dozen shrink wrap packs of blanched beetroot, from Home Bargain at 35p each. Much cheaper than same product from anywhere else. e.g. 90p from Morrisons. I never really bother re-hydrating fruit, just chomp on it. Rehydrated some apple and pineapple but just as an experiment. Texture doesnt really seem to recover. Remember for non-citric fruits like apple or banana, soak in lemon juice before drying. We don't blanche fruit so need to do that to stop ...
