They had what they called a "butter mountain" KF. I remember schools and care homes etc got given tons of it free. God it was like another world back then! I love butter and only buy the good stuff, mainly President and Kerrygold.

Floating around the internet and seeing stuff about the rise in food prices later this year. And butter seems to be mentioned a lot. Why butter specifically? What's special about it that would make it likely to go up in cost? Anybody got an idea? I am buying it in and freezing it anyway.

Years ago I was really into herbal medicine. I grew a lot of herbs and made tinctures and infusions etc etc but I have to say that very few of them worked well. Thyme for cough mix is fabulous. Honey for wounds likewise. But most of the traditional old cures were a disappointment.

There is a national shortage of the prescription strength versions. Suspect the prescription alternatives would be Tramadol. However, when my RA is really bad I take paracetamol combined with Ibuprofen but staggered. They are safe together. I tried Tramadol once and my god - I floated all night, hu...
