Re: Hello / Small DIY project for storing food and water

Hi I am stashing food at the moment. I started buying canned food of this type: http://dropshop.co.uk/sklep,produkt,krakus-preserve-pork-in-its-own-gravy Of course different variations. The meat content is often over 90%, shelf life is over 2 years, and they taste better than those from B&M ;-) ...

Re: Building your own home

Sorry I missed a few replies! If only it were that easy JD but basically what poppypiesdad said, and there would be reams of paperwork etc. to get through in the UK before building could even start! Cynical I love the idea of a tandem build, and the land is actually still for sale so perhaps I shou...

Re: How about buying a wood?

You are partly correct on the Canadian land acquisition. That land is not cheap at that price for the situation it is in and its location. 30K is highway robbery for Canadian forest land. Your nearest neighbor might be farther than Bristol is from London. You are going to be off grid because there ...

Re: British Army NBC Suit

Ooh, I remember doing my NBC training. Horrible things to wear and live in for 24 hrs. That was a looong time ago, but if my memory serves me correctly, I think once they are unpacked they only have a 24 hr life span. Does it mean they are one use? What meds shall I take in case of being in contami...

Re: Hello / Small DIY project for storing food and water

The idea of keeping it under kickboards was to keep it away from peoples eyes, like house robbery. If lets say a group of looters comes to my house they may loot everything, but will they think of kickboards? Of course except whats under kickboards there will be other supplies. I want them under ki...

Re: Building your own home

We're looking to move in the near future and I've seen a patch of land (few acres) that, if I sold my current home, I could probably afford to buy. I could then probably afford to have a home built on said land. Before I get carried away with this, please tell me I'm mad and it's not feasible for 2...
