Re: What preps are you doing this week? Part 3.

My food, water, cleaning product and first aid supplies are coming along nicely, still struggling with storage space though. The wood shed is bursting at the seams with seasoned, chopped wood for the log burners in winter and I still have a huge load of free wood to chop. The truck is stocked with v...

If you can't beat em ..... Arrived home yesterday and hubby informed me that he has filled one of the jerry cans with diesel, rooted out two high vis jackets and put them together with the warning triangle and the folding shovel he bought me as a present in the truck. Showed him the traction mats an...

Re: What preps are you doing this week? Part 3.

Cheers. Yes have thought about re-usable nappies, if only as a prep. Think it will be a combination of them both. Sometimes far easier to use disposable. Regards prepping baby food/milk for 0-6month anyone have any tips? Assume powdered formula and jars is the way to go? Congrats on your news! I wo...

Re: What preps are you doing this week? Part 3.

We have just invested in a pre owned (bargain) generator. It' been well looked after, serviced and runs great and it appears that my SO and son may just be picking up on my prepping bug a tiny weeny bit. My food and water supplies have now filled the cupboard and my household products cupboard is a...

Advice on raised beds please

I have a bit of space at the back of the house which I'm presuming the former owners had a greenhouse or shed on as it's concreted and has a drainage channel. Would this be a good place to put a raised bed? Sunlight in the afternoon to early evening but shaded for the rest of the day. SO and I are h...

Re: Just Tents

I do like a tent! I was brought up from the tender age of 6 weeks old camping and caravanning and so sleeping under canvas is something I have always enjoyed. I have the Vango Ark DS 200 and 300 for festivals and solo camping as there is no way I would trust one of those flimsy pop up numbers that l...
