If anyone is looking for a really effective rust protecter then Lanolin thinned with white spirit works really well. Even if there is already a bit of surface rust, the lanolin will get right into it, drive the water out, and seal it well.

I have a few Mora craftlines, nice sharp knives, good shape, excellent plastic sheath. Recently I bought two Mora Heavies, very similar to the originals, but a bit, errr, heavier.

Our preps have saved us much trouble. We haven't actually suffered at all so far, and will probably weather another lockdown just as well.
