Re: Future of healthcare.

The NHS is already mostly private. And as once the work is complete by Sith May (completion of the Death Star) everything here will be like in the states. The only good thing to say about this is that, while there are millions of uninsured Americans (case study) most of the uninsured are choosing to...

Re: A UK friendly specific EDC gadget thread!

Well isn't that just brilliant. That little thread bump just cost me £16.95.

Thanks for the heads up bud. ;)

Re: Just Tents

Hahahaha! Thanks for the heads up mate.

I'll get this camping trip out of it and if it's a success then I'll use it again next summer. If not I'll just take it back. There is a Quechua that's similar to the Vango Banshee 300 that I might swap it for.

Re: Money suggestions

Thanks you lot, great to get thinking about this kind of thing. That's a great idea @preparedsurry - scrap silver. I've looked at things like that before, never occurred to just buy a load and keep it, and there must be loads of silver around in different forms. I've seen one of the youtube lads pos...

Money suggestions

It occurred to me that I'm rubbish at managing money and I've got a bad habit of buying things I don't need. That financial crisis hoax we recently discussed on here made me feel very vulnerable. Couple that with all this talk of 'Brexit' and the indication that there is no 'plan' or foreknowledge o...

Re: EDC update and dilemma

This is true. Believe it or not it fell out of my pocket on the way out once... Just drove off with it in the middle of the road apparently. Someone called me and said they'd found my emergency contact information. He left it under the bin outside my house. A real good citizen... Pay it forwards all.

Re: Just Tents

What a total utter bastard of a tent to put up that Quechua one is. Spent ages battling the wind and farting around trying to get the flysheet on properly. In the end I didn't do to, it's not on right. But in reality I'll be wanting to start drinking whisky after about twenty minutes on the camp sit...

Re: Suggest an EDC watch

By the time you've worked out the time on that one you may as well have checked your phone. Nice though... Clockwork Orangy. If it's not a fake then all it needs to be is functional. The ad says it's warrantied for six months and has been serviced all ready. The fake thing still concerns me. T...

Re: Suggest an EDC watch

Well I'm starting to wonder if it's a fake. It would make sense for it to be, they have fake rolex and other makes for sale on the continent, fully automatic for this kind of money. Some people are leaving feedback saying that the watch face is crooked or something. Ah well, we'll see how it looks w...

Re: Suggest an EDC watch

Ok, I shouldn't have started this thread, it's costing me too much money. I just ended up making another ( yet another !) impulse purchase, albeit for only £10.99. There seem to be a lot of these watches on eBay, refurbished classics. But looks at this - it's beautiful! What's the catch? You think i...
