Re: Will we end up in lockdown again?
Agree with Korolev Absolute numbers of infections are mostly irrelevant. It’s how many are in hospital and how many are dying that matters. It’s also important to understand the profile of people in hospital. In North London about 70% of those in hospital with covid are eligible for the vaccine and ...

Re: Basket making
So cool. I’m 45+ and this has brought back some lovely memories from school where we were taught the real basics. I think I still have a tray with woven raised sides to it somewhere!

At that price it’s throwaway, although I’m happily feeding the kids pancakes made with 2016 flour and it hasn’t killed us yet

Re: Who's getting the vaccine
The Pfizer vaccine is harder to store and is used at larger vaccination centres eg health centres. The Oxford one is easier to distribute so is used more at local sites eg chemists. There was some chatter about Pfizer warranting that it could be stored safely doe a week or two at just -40’c rather t...

Re: RING video doorbells
I’ve got a Ring. Love it. Great to chat to people from the top floor who ring the doorbell and to decide whether to walk down or not. Great to be able to communicate when out the home. And a bit of banter with the kids when they get yoke from school and trigger the motion sensors. I don’t personally...

Re: When to use your food stash
Is it really bad that I’d be tempted to put it in a hot incinerator with the lid off to see what happened?!

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 8.
I’m giving away food! A kinda reverse prep. I’ve been stockpiling supplies for a long time. I live in London so food supply and being able to hunker down when the shops are stripped is very important to me. Nothing about long term bugging on, just about timing an exit... Anyways... For various reaso...

Re: Mining as a part of prepping
In my mind, sitting there with a pile of millions of pounds of bitcoin makes little sense (as a preppier) as they could disappear in a major IT situation. I have some coins that have a /very slight/ potential to take off over time like Bitcoin has, but I also have in mind a value which, should it b...
