Re: SHTF Woodland area needed per person

I have no concrete plan, or to put it another way I'm a strong believer in having many plans. I am comfortable with my own company but I live in a community that I help and teach to help themselves by showing them what I can in various areas. I have family so it won't be a solo journey but these thi...

Re: SHTF Woodland area needed per person

What I was thinking out of curiousity was if you had say ten people in a piece of woodland what would the area need to be so that each person wouldn't interact with another even by chance. Or to put it another way. How much space would a persona need to be self sufficient including growing and hunti...

Re: Where to buy MRE-s?

Keep looking about, ask fellow prepper and those ye know in the forces, many sell off what they have laying around. Also worth asking around local surplus stores as some sell them. Prices vary vastly. If ye can't find any I have some up for sale, but past expiry, not an issue for me but some aren't ...

Re: Couponing?

I have to say that show does make me jealous of the US as our coupons don't come close. I will say though with some careful and sometimes time consuming shopping you can get some awesome bargains especially for storage items. See what deals are on in the various supermarket stores as well supersaver...

Re: been looking for a new tablet / smartphone

I would whole heartedly recommend the Samsung Galaxy S2 as I've put mine through some serious grief over the years including being in the same pocket as me leatherman. lol Also be dropped and thrown here n there n still works fine. The gps can be slow but planning for tech out/shtf I use an app call...

Re: Lidl prep items

I went into lidls today n got meself a nice little tool kit to modify, I did see the folding saws, are they any good? there's a few going around at the mo and the blades/build quality is awful. As for Gaffa tape, I get it from local booty 3" large rolls at £2 a piece, black and dpm. Gotta love ...

Re: Riot control agents and respirators.

Hopefully the following link is permitted, but here's a supplier of masks but also give a little detail about what each one if effective against. Gas masks can seem daunting but learn as much as you can including maintenance as if not use correctly it's not worth using. msg if interested and can sen...

SHTF Woodland area needed per person

It may sound like a silly question but..... I've been thinking lately whatever the SHTF, if one was to bug out to say a large woodland location not important and lets say irrespective of roads so say off the beaten track (not no passing tourists. What would be a reasonable assumed area that say two ...
