Re: hello, I am medic mark, ask me a question.

Hi Mark sorry if this has already be asked but..... Can you or anyone recommend a decent over the shelf kit, I have several £5 or £10 kits dotted all over the place and just managed to slice my foot open (dont ask) and basically had to use every bandage in my kit (3) to stop the bleeding.. All the c...

Re: Knife sharpner / stone

Lansky sharpener for my good stuff, occasionally a Chinese water stone if I want to meditate and (shock horror) an Anysharp for users and my kitchen knives, I only need to sharpen my kitchen knives once in a while and I use a lot of cheap knives for work SRMs etc as they get used and abused, so shav...

Re: Folding locking knife suggestions 4-5"

The EL I can open ok one handed (but a thumb stud through the blade would have been nice but is probably more a personal thing really), closing it I'm finding awkward it is possible one handed but 2 are easier. How are you opening it, as its a flipper, I find it just as easy as a thumb stud, prefer...

Re: Homebrew

Cheers all , the mention of somewhere cool might be a problem, I live in a new build 2nd floor flat and it never gets cold , well insulated and in the middle, my gas bill is £12 pm, but the downside is that its hot all the time in the summer, nice with a bit of a breeze on the balcony with a beer in...

Re: Homebrew

Wilkos kits make a passable brew. You have to ' shortbrew' them though ( instead of twenty litres of water, add 17 for better flavour). However,I would go for Coopers kits every time. Their English bitter is bang on.This time of year you can brew from start to drinking in 6 weeks for best results. If ...
