One of the lads over on BCUK had a line firing catapult which was interesting to say the least!!! We used it on one camp to fire lines over tree tops to rig a ham radio dipole antenna, worked well.

Not a bad deal at Argos (same price at Tesco) AA AAA USB fed charger with four batteries so just plug it into your cheapo ebay solar panel and away you go

I've ordered 18 x 450gm packs of strawberry jam for £20, and 45 x mash spuds for £50 which is cheap as chips.
