Re: M65 Jacket

I have this, its really cheap, for the price its awesome. The liner inside is so warm. The only downside is that the zip isn't great quality but it has buttons anyway. With the cold weather I'm wearing this coat all the time, I love it more than my buffalo jacket which was my old coat http://www.ama...

Re: Which knife?

My latest project is to make my own handle for a knife, I've just ordered this awesome blade: http://www.raymears.com/Bushcraft_Product/427-Julius-Pettersson-Hand-Forged-Knife-Blade/ I've looked online and seen some brilliant examples of what can be done, I'm still not sure what materials I'm going ...

Mine has a different camo scheme and doesn't have the water reservoir but its a nice bit of kit, lots of little places to hide things so that people might not find stuff on a cursory rummage through

The Comprehensive Water Storage and Purification Thread

Water storage is obviously the most important prep you can do, my food is coming along fine but I'm severely lacking in this department. I know there's a few little threads on various parts of this but I'm thinking about ways to come up with a comprehensive plan to totally cover my water needs so I ...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week

Got myself a nice little stock of meds when I was in the US, lots of aspirin, ibuprofen, advil, gause and bandages. Also got a nice BoB, just need to sort out some stuff to put in it now.

Re: Scottish based new guy

No real reason, I don't believe one particular event will happen, I'm just doing it on the off chance someting happens. Theoretically it wouldn't take many events to occur to cause a temporary breakdown in society. Also I'm in a remote town so if the winter ever gets bad its good to have a stockpile...

Scottish based new guy

Hey, I'm new, I live in scotland. So far just have the basic preps in place, food stocked, comms and a few other bits. Next phase will be to plant my garden and sow a few edible plants in the woodland behind my house. I also have a large attic going to waste at the minute so I need to come up with s...

Buying in the US

I'm off to the US and I thought I'd stock up on basic meds. They actually sell big bottles of aspirin unlike over here they trust you not to OD on it. I'm planning on getting aspirin, paracetemol etc. What other non prescription goodies can I get (bear in mind they have to be legal to own and take o...
