Good stuff, Mouse!

In the interests of fairness, I should point out that the proper Lloyds discount code, for the full website, arrived today, so I'll be looking at that tomorrow.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 8.

Just ordered my first set of FFP2 masks, sadly from Amazon - Lloyds Pharmacy website didn't want to give me the 10% discount they offered me off their own bat. Also got some steri strips, and then a little tub of Vaseline to get me over the free delivery limit (Martin Lewis has a link to a bit of so...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 8.

I just harvested the last of, and bulk of my beetroots and I'm pleased as punch! :D ... This is the biggest crop of anything I've ever grown. I know. Pathetic*, aren't I, but I feel like a proper gardener now. Have carefully rinsed them and set aside in a basket to let them dry out. *Took a photo, ...

Re: Self Care

Two really good points there, GillyBee. This is the NHS page about how to keep an exclusion diet: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/food-intolerance/ Plus the one that belongs to WebMD https://www.webmd.com/allergies/allergies-elimination-diet Paul Lam has a free tai chi lesson on you tube https://www.y...

Re: Self Care

Continuing the honey theme, I found an article today in the Guardian https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/nov/28/bee-aware-do-you-know-what-is-in-that-cheap-jar-of-honey telling consumers to be wary of the very cheapest brands available. It implied there might be a problem with supermarket own ...

Re: How many times can you use a disposable FFP3 mask?

Thank you so much, Jenny, I'll work on that as soon as I've done another 20 minutes in the garden.

Re: How many times can you use a disposable FFP3 mask?

This is an old thread! But still relevant. I mentioned on here about buying some N95 masks - went on to Amazon just now, and I find they're actually FFP2. Mentioned it all to my sister this morning - she already has 40 x N95 masks. I'm not the only prepper in the family  I'll get some of those,...

Re: I got broken into :(

This is something I've wondered for ages, and it's time I said it on here. Knowing what crimes are committed now, and what the reported crime rates roughly are, when the Slow Collapse intensifies, those things are going to get worse. Property crime and assault, sexual and otherwise.

Re: I got broken into :(

Sorry to hear this, HomeHardener, I'm glad that at least you're okay. It sounds like strengthening the security of your own fence is all you can do. Gravel is good. Do you have an automatic light back there? Though they definitely get triggered by foxes etc.

Re: Self Care

HONEY I thought I'd have a looksee at honey for self care, as mbbaltic/Lil said about using it. Classic references only, as usual. The main NHS website is disappointing in this respect: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/baby/weaning-and-feeding/foods-to-avoid-giving-babies-and-young-children/ It's simp...
