Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 8.

jansman, thats absolutely brilliant, well done you! Supplying the neighbours with containers is a brilliant idea. Local use of local resources, permaculture in action. I'm trying to research eco cleaning at the moment - bicarbonate of soda etc - I think I'm actually over researching, but I'm trying...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 8.

Now we are getting more consistent daytime temperatures, I shall start ( thinking) about sowing squash, beans, corn etc. My dad always sowed beans on St George’s Day. Since his time our climate has changed and the growing season is rather skewed; starts that bit later, and finishes later these days....

So,Jansman being ever resourceful,I contacted the landlord of next door ( From whence the pigeons are gathering nesting materials!!) and then hopping into my garden for dinner. :( and I am now putting pigeons in the freezer for future consumption. At least I know they...

Good to hear Jansman, one thing less for her to worry about. If it gives her peace of mind then it's a good thing.
Got my first jab a week ago.

But I *won't* be using it (sobs quietly). My question about the cartridge is specifically how to dispose of it safely? Is it okay to let it degass in the middle of the garden, for instance? Or do I wait to take it to a local authority tip?
With grenfell here. Let it blow out in the garden.

Is that cartridge safe? Will the joints have gone? I
Er I think I would forgo that one -- and I'm as mean as hell!
Personally, I would be wary of using it.Especially check if the seal around the piercing point is sound if you go ahead.

Re: When to use your food stash

After saying that we use and replace from what we store there are always , shall we say , hiccups. We'd sort of overlooked some tins which are now past their BB date , talking about five years here. Positive side it does give us the chance to see just how well things last. Not of the tins show any ...

Welcome to the forum! I hope you find things of interest here, what kind of prepping are you interested in? Search engine optimisation isn't usually at the top of most people's minds when they start preppping, I must say, but whatever floats your boat.
Damn! I missed that link.
