It will all come down to how many people end up needing hospital care. If the levels are similar to a bad flu season then I doubt we will see any restrictions, just a bit of advertising to encourage basic hygiene.
If the hospitals start to struggle with no staff and lots of extra covid wards then we may see some restrictions to slow things down a bit. But restrictions will not be well received by anyone and the gov knows this so will avoid them if at all possible. We might see requests to wear a mask but nothing mandatory for example.

Yes careful thought by government is needed with inflation and unemployment the cost of living crisis and the NHS in a real state any sort of lockdown would have a high price.

I think I'm done with the covid thing. I will have to wear a mask in work, but that will be it for me. Obviously, I will keep an eye on what's going on, I have a decent supply of masks in case I think I may need them. No more jabs though for me. I don't think the general population will take lockdown seriously anyway.

I found this site, obviously it's under government control so the figures are totally correct and have not been fiddled with, ( The wife used to work in conjunction with the ONS covid study supplying the figures for Boris and co's updates.) but it is still a guide for local areas.
