How to make powdered eggs

Post by worried mother »

scramble a good amount of eggs at least 12.
our into a saute deep pan and cook until well done.
drain on paper towel untill dry
cut into small pieces
bake on a sheet in oven on lowest setting, usually the keep warm setting for 10 hours or use a dehydrator
Bake for 10 hours
put through a blender until powder

store in a heavy plastic bag then airtight container

add enough salt to how many eggs you do, be careful not to add too much

you can then use this for all sorts of cooking

Do you need to add anything like salt to help preserve the eggs?

yes you do, add what salt you would add to 2 eggs then multiply to how many eggs you have done.

Thanks for the reply worried mother but same question again I'm afraid.
I don't salt my eggs at all so is it necessary to salt for storage?
