Re: A moral compass in an TEOTWAWKI Scenario

I am not sure where my moral compass would point to, to be honest, especially as its never really pointed north. I will say now that i have 2 children it points more northerly than it ever has before.

The reason i say it has never really pointed north is because in the past i have been taken over by anger and a few times have had to be dragged off of people, as people have feared i would commit murder. These days however i see things slightly different in the fact i now say do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I would never even dream of hurting any one these days as whoever you harm is either someones mother/father son/daughter sister/brother. however when we hit a teotwawki situation and i have to provide for and protect my children, how quickly would a moral compass change.

I for one i believe i would raid my local country park and countryside farming area before i would resort to stealing from others. no matter what happened i would never raid someones house as if you steal from them you may be responsible for the death of children, as they would not have what is needed for their families and having my own kids, i couldnt live with myself, but then saying that how do you deal with someone raiding your property as they are just trying by any means to provide for their families.

When it comes to the breakdown of society and the food chain seizing up i can see us all having to raid shops and supermarkets if we do not have enough stored items at home, or if it is not sufficiently protected.
