Thanks for the info on the Bog Roll, I knew I wasn't imagining it.

As for an iminent global catastrophe, no I am not expecting one and I am definately not hoping for one. :tinfoil

Yellowstone is 50,000 years over due so it could happen tomorrow or it could be another 50,000 years. As for the La Palma one, it all depends how the magma created heat effects the water that is inside the mountain rock. If it heats up causing the rock to crack it will create a massive ladslide that would create a 600 foot tsunami that would head west towards the states. Other waves would head north and south with the northern one hitting Devon & Cornwall as well as southern Ireland.

When you think that the Indonesian tsunami was only about 20 feet high I'm sure you would agree that 600 feet of water coming at you at over 100kph is a bit daunting. Just watch The Day After Tomorrow and you will get an idea.

Still, it hasn't happened yet so I can still pop down to Lidl and give this recycled bog roll a good looking at. If my fingers do go through it, I shall know who to blame. :P

Be lucky (and bottoms up)

And is the subject of many jokes among my fellow astrophysics friends - many of them do observations for their research on La Palma, and the university has it's own telescope up there too, so everyone's always hoping this situation doesn't occur on their watch!

I once stood at the top of the La Palma one and it was very eerie but with tiny white daisy plants (Marguerite?) growing amongst the lava.

If that supervolcano does go off, something tells me that i'll need more than Lidl's 4 ply bog roll. trust me i'll need some serious amount of disposable pants.

Maybe Lidl do adult diapers. If not, try a cork.

Be lucky (and is that why it is called an In-continental shift)

Many of our leaders have said it over and over (Gordon Brown, George Bush Jr & Sr, many others)
Hitler wrote two books
One called Mein Kampf
One called A New World Order

You might want to take a look at this post as well, particularly the last paragraph ;) viewtopic.php?f=31&t=1832

I'm going to have to put that link into my signature....it would be easier than searching for it every bleeding week

Edited as I couldn't see what you were refering to with the NWO bit....you missed out the relevant line in your quote

No offence but you clearly haven't even bothered to research it

Hitler used the exact words
So did Bush Sr
And Bush Jr
And Bill Clinton
And Gordon Brown
and Sarkozy

and many more

keep living a lie if you wish! sheesh , but accusations/claims like that NEED BACKING UP WITH SOMETHING OTHER THAN YOUR OWN OPINION. Cheers :)
