I have made Loads of those bricks they work really well
The main things are soak them for a long time before you try it I find a week is about right. Try and use half newspaper and half bleached paper but never use shiny paper
And do it on a sunny day as you WILL get wet doing it !!

Good luck

On a prepping note I have finally got some more chickens. Pure breed white Sussex good eaters and layers. And I found a farmer who will sell whole corn :D

As far as cross cut shredded waste is concerned, if its only black and white ink and non shiny paper, it goes in the compost bin, bit by bit, that seems to work fine for me.

Actual preps:
- I bought some paracord! Outdoor type shop on the Sussex coast had a bogof offer, so I got two lengths for the price of one. They're an expensive shop a lot of the time, so this brought it down to reasonable amounts.
- Millets, I was browsing, and bought some water purification tabs and some tick tweezers! Weird. But I checked the head, and they're shaped very differently from normal tweezers, so I went ahead and got them - part of my plan for being a medical-type person.

The waiting list for allotments round here is so long it could take years to get one, So I'm planning on what i can grow in my very small garden. Go over my bug out bags again to make sure that I've not missed anything. Sharpened my knife at work today too. Small things but i feel I'm getting somewhere.

Seeing how things seem to be getting weird I've updated those that i trust where our bugout meeting spot is and when to head there. Plus told spongers that know I'm a survivalist disinformation. No way I'm helping others that don't want to help themselves.

got 4 whistles for the bug out bags today, a high visibility vest for the car, and a 36 hour burning candle for the house. Ramdom - but hey ho, every bit adds up.

Re-fitted my greenhouse with new staging, beds and flooring. The tomatoes were poor this year so I cleared them out and got this job done. Also made a batch of runner bean chutney last night. Only problem, the house stinks of vinegar now!
