Acorns were always regarded as a 'famine food '. Thanks for the tutorial, we have lots of oaks here. Next year I may check this one out. Thanks.

Excuse my ignorance buy why is it acorn coffee and not acorn tea ? I'm genuinely curious how they are classified.

Teas are herbal - from leaves. This is a nut, which is roasted... much as coffee is, I think!

Sounds good.. assuming it tastes nice. I have been buying a month's supply of coffee at a time - amazing how quick I get through it :/ Might just have to wean myself off it tbh and get used to herbal teas which are so easy. Still, very interesting, and as someone else said, it has been known as a survival food using a similar method.
