I am trying to find some recipes for cakes/biscuits/puddings that don't require butter or marg. I've had a mooch through books and the Internet but haven't come across anything decent so its over to you.
Please post any recipes you might have or share the alternatives to butter and marg in cake making.
Thank you

I might have some but generally you'll find them substituting with oil. I have some egg free that might work. Will have a look for you.

Most Paleo Cakes are Dairy Free but as Kalprep says an oil of some sort will be used as a substitute. I use Coconut Oil or Olive oil in all my baking/cooking. The following link might appeal to you if you dip into the related websites...KalPrep wrote:I might have some but generally you'll find them substituting with oil. So for this Heavenly Blueberry Lemon Pound Cake I would:
Not buy Coconut Flour as it is expensive, I blitz coconut flakes in a coffee grinder to make it closer to flour consistency,
I would substitute Honey for Splenda as I do not touch artificial/processed sweeteners with a barge pole,

To my understanding clarified butter is the preferred fat of paleo, due to it being only the healthy fat, its high smoke point and its lower calorie then Coconut Oil or Olive oil. I've been on Paleo for 6 months now, I read a whole bunch of books on the subject to see what I was getting myself into, lol.Plantiejo wrote:Most Paleo Cakes are Dairy Free but as Kalprep says an oil of some sort will be used as a substitute.
