What will you run on them? I have a 6w panel on my allotment shed - just to top up a leisure battery for occasional lighting or battery charging for my drill.pietka wrote:Whey got my 80 and 40 watt panels on the roof of my shed! This might help. Although not british you can substitute items for those that are easy to get here. I thought it was a very comprehensive list.moocher wrote:so far i have a 10 pack of toilet roll

Plus check out your local council website and look under emergency planning for their suggestions as well. You've made a great start and you can only do what you can afford!

Picked up a bunch of extra pairs of shoes and lots of extra clothes to put in storage. Also picked up more weight training kit as I've outstripped my max weight and need to go bigger.

I would add water to every trip you make to buy food, remember water could go off and those cup a soups would be useless without it.moocher wrote:so far i have a 10 pack of toilet roll

)
Remember you can survive without for for around 3 weeks, can be far longer, but water only 3 days without water so water has got to be the No1 item to buy,
Also have you sorted some water to heat water and food - most of what you bought I think can be eaten straight from tin ( never had bacon grill so don't know about that )
And make sure you have a few can openers at very least, can pick up cheapo ones for a quid at most.

we have one in kitchen but i want several in the stash,
my main concern with the water is the weight of it ,ideally it needs to be on ground floor i suppose.
bacon grill is in lidls in a spam? shaped tin
i normally slice it an fry it both sides it cooks quickly ,
abit salty tasting though .

Mmmm Bacon grill.... Used to get in army ration packs as Bacon burgers. Open both ends and slide it out slicing as you go for evenness. Fry and away you go, perfick
have to admit we've added a few cans if it, much cheaper in pound shops!
