Charged up 30 AAAs - 20 in the BOB, 4 in my head torch, 3 in my hand torch, 3 in a hand magnifier in BOB. The ones in my motion lights get charged when needed, which is impressively infrequently.

Invested in some eneloop AAs. Hope they are worth it. All my AAs get used, so they are charged when needed.

While petrol is still reasonable i’ve made sure fuel tanks and jerrycans are topped up, but as the petrol companies admit petrol starts to deteriorate in as little as 30 - 60 days I now use a fuel stabiliser in the cans, it extends the life to at 2 years.

For long storage I buy Esso e5 synergy 99* petrol, fill the cans add stabiliser and forget them.

For everyday use and in GHB etc, I use good “ordinary” batteries, my rechargeable NiMH and some newer Li-ion are for SHTF use and kept with their own solar charger system.

Frnc, eneloop batteries are supposed to be the best.

I’ve switched from Eneloop to Amazon Basics AAs. They are of equal (or higher?) capacity and cheaper by half.

I'm sticking with eneloops - I want good quality rechargeable, not good quality single use, for environmental reasons as well as prepping reasons.

Car is getting picked up and taken to the Garage this afternoon, hopefully it's just the alternator.

Time to eat through some of my preps this week until the car is back

Goulash and rice tonight....
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.
