Best way to store potatoes? Best kinds to store? please.

Same as above. Paper bag or a hessian sack is slightly better. I'm saving Wilja's from a local farm.

I was asking a farmer about this the other day, you know how you can buy crisps etc in February? he said they dry them in big, dry barns.

Upon investigation,it would 'appear' not.I do wonder though,why spuds sprout Winter and Summer alike when bought from a supermarket? When I buy them in sacks from the farm,they don't sprout until Spring!
