Your favourite cooking device.....

Post by Yorkshire Andy »

Let's have a bit of fun....

I'll go first this is my favourite stove

A Coleman double burner running unleaded / white gas or panel wipe (napthia)

It's no lightweight it's stable and packs into itself

Biggest plus is it's cheap to run Vs gas....

Gets hot and boils the kettle quick inbuilt windshields help too

Not overly portable but for home /car camping it's great

I got lucky and got it for £40!!!! New!

Nice! It doesn't get much simpler than that P.

Can't beat simple :)

I just like the Coleman as living in a house of 5 relying on electric to cook it gives us a reliable means of back up cooking (I've used it inside once not that it's recommended always have a powder extinguisher handy and well ventilated )

And fuel is easy to get and store either a Jerry can of unleaded or Coleman fuel

I'm also a fan of meths (cooking rather than as a tipple), gas, dual fuel, hexi/homemade blocks, gel....

I've probably forgot a few. Currently into the small meths pots and a 'triangle' stand.

Sorry meant to add this. Quorn chicken casserole with dumplings. Made it for me and a mate in the woods, was more than enough to bring some back for the missus. Braw.

Wouldn't be without my coleman like the op, also got it free and new on amazon using gift vouchers I was sent for free from a card processing company for referring someone.

Also have coleman petrol lanterns.

Other than that I like my China special stoves from amazon, both great stoves, the large one runs as hot as the sun.

Bought a couple of adapter things to do with them so they can use the srabdard screw in canisters and the cheaper 'suitcase stove' type bottles

I also have one of those small woodgas type stove, also works great and runs fantastically on handfuls if twigs or compressed wood pellets
