Nothing wrong with a 'flight of fancy', I enjoy discussing these VERY hypothetical scenarios too. :D

Right, I'm off to my hollowed out volcano lair, ciao for now.

Bugging out to a boat is a lovely idea (i even lived on a boat in between girlfriends when I had hair) but as I think we're all agreed - a flight of imagination. Even now modern piracy is a problem so just imagine how bad that would get in a real SHTF scenario. But a nice thought, I'm off to look eBay for a little yacht with solar and a mini desalination plant, sigh......

Exactly - look at present day lawbreaking and extrapolate wildly for a shtf scenario. Though the steep sides of a cruise ship would keep zombies off, at any rate

And a couple of little windmills. And a sea snake. http://www.emec.org.uk/about-us/wave-cl ... ave-power/

The sad truth is, of course, that any event big enough to cause someone to actually bug out like this would set loose a lot of craziness.
