medical equipment at home

Post by Stonecarver »

Lidl will have some medical stuff soon and I will be buying some of it. Just wondered if others keep stuff like that at home
Not worried about powering the whole house, just eating hot food, getting a brew, seeing through the dark, and staying warm.

In terms of medical kit I've got a huge first aid box filled with everything from Antiseptic to Z-fold gauze ;)
If your roughing it, Your doing it wrong ;)

Lack of planning on your part doesn't make it an emergency on mine

A fair bit of First Aid stuff and some field dressings for heavy stuff although that's my limit. I do have friends and neighbours that are nurses which is handy, one living next door. That would be my first port of call if we had an emergency that I couldn't deal with. Probably be good for a second opinion anyway.

I'm wondering that too - I can't see anything at the lidl website about it.

As for what I keep already - lots of otc stuff, lots of bandages of various sorts, lots of dressings. No haemostatic stuff yet - I've seen so many discussions about which type/influences etc, and I need some proper research before I spend any dosh.

I have 2 x 24 litre plastic crates of stuff, which seems a lot to me  but probably isn't with all the gearheads on here

I'm prepared in the future to buy some stuff that only a doctor would know how to use, in case things got appreciably worse than they are now. I could do injections myself already, too - when my beloved grey cat got diabetes, the vet trained me how to inject properly. I did it daily for 9 months.

We did the same for our cat for a few years & the sadistic little sod used to LOVE his jabs!

Say the phrase "sin-sin" in a high voice to him and he'd come running like a loon!

Good grief! Nope, that didn't happen for me  though she did come running when I tapped the head of her grooming brush on the floor :)
