Best knife stropping compound?

Post by Mad Medic »

Ladies & gents advice required please, I want to try using a leather strop to dress the edges back up on my edged impliments. Any suggestions as to a good stropping compound which can be brought in the UK?

Thanks in advance MM.

Have a google for Starkie Blue. I use it with my strop to get a nice shiny (and hair-popping sharp) edge.

Actually it is.

It's another name for Starkey Blue.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Just about to humbly apologise to Woodsman1 having looked around at Starkey Blue and found it called "Smurf Poo." But in my defence slightly more of a clue would have been a tad helpful? :?:
