Hi, I'm another newbie, and also in Area 7 - Ross On Wye area.
Like you, I'm ex -forces, and consider myself to be the product of what you get when you take a Boy Scout and then give him Combat Survival training. Working in urban, but living in a rural environment gives me a get home bag challenge, but coming along nicely.
Maybe see you out and about - I'll be the grey man (a technique that works equally well to avoid being selected as the next hostage to be "dealt" with, incidentally).
