Helpful tip:
I purchased 25 kg of salt today for £23
No additives cheaper than super store

Marcus, I'm afraid Asda has two types of own brand salt at less than 40p a kilo, quite a lot cheaper ...
As far as where I am ... I'm on the other side of London from you, sorry!

Re cheap salt at the superstores.
They may contain anti caking agents and flow enhancing agents. Which is fine if you rotate your supplies. For long term storage, I have heard, plain salt stores best.

Re: Hello from Norwich, Norfolk
I store both. I have catering salt stored in a barrel, bought from a work supplier 12 years ago. Good. I have supermarket salt stored, ( anti caking etc. ) bought 7? Years ago. Still good. Salt is salt. If it gets damp, dry it out.MarcusLittle wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2020 7:25 pm Re cheap salt at the superstores.
