I'm fortunate that I work in tech, so I've been working remotely for the last week and a bit, and our whole company globally has been encouraged to work remotely. The Mrs isn't so lucky, and can't work from home but she's part time fortunately.

We've been topping up the stores over the last few weeks. I'm not really planning on leaving the house much, other than the odd trip to a DIY shop; but will get deliveries where possible.

Was thinking about how we can do 'virtual dinner parties' if it comes to a proper lockdown so we can still have some form of socialising!

This is a virus we know little about as yet. If it behaves like some other viruses and stays with the host for life, i.e. like chickenpox, measles etc then there is no point in social isolation until we get a vaccine. Which is about 9 months away at best. As a working musician I have little choice other than to go to venues with lots of people - although already here in France we are in partial lockdown so that may stop soon anyway. So basically, no - I wont be avoiding other people, but will be taking the usual precautions such as handwashing, etc. Most of the locals here have dispensed with the customary kiss on the cheek greeting and the handshake that normaly takes place when one meets a friend - as good an example of taking personal responsibility I can think of, really.
