hi everyone,just joined. I live on a small island,off the coast of scotland.Always prepped,as weather affects many things here...also... B**x*t....shhhh..... you have reignited my dehydration plans..

Welcome to the forum - you'll find some very enthusiastic (and experienced) dehydrators on here. I'm enthusiastic but fairly ignorant :mrgreen: I guess on an island you must get power cuts? Dehydrating as a preservative of food is good with that too :) as you know. Hope you find helpful info here, and please chip in when you want to.

Welcome, I guess you have to be prepared, just in case the ferry is adrift. Hope you find the forum useful.

yep,ferries fail in bad weather.
some power cuts,not very often anymore,but fully prepared if they happen.
last week,bad gales,power off...but worse..lightning hit the broadband cable...gasp..off for a couple of days..had to talk to each other :D
