Hi
New prepper here although i've been reading, watching videos and browsing this forum for a few months now.
I'm a 32 year old guy (male) from Bedford, UK. I've been interested in prepping since about 2016 but hadn't really taken it to any serious level until recently.
I think given our situation in the UK right now, there is a lot of uncertainty and doubt and the possibility of problems down the line if brexit goes bad (like it hasn't already ) so with a family including two toddlers to look after i've decided to really take it seriously and start prepping for real.
This is what I've done so far.
2 x miltec bugout waterproof rucksacks (40L) both of which contain:
Handheld UHF/VHF radio (I am studying my foundation licence too)
First aid kit
Hunting knife
Lifestraw (water purifier)
Firesteel
Suture kit (I was an army field medic and I know how to use them)
Gas cooker hob
In addition to the two bug out bags we have a bug out baby bag too containing
nappies
wipes
several clothes
a few toys
And after all that i have also stocked up on plenty of tinned food, pasta, rice, tea, coffee and sugar.
I'm also planning to make my own lithium ion battery charger so I can charge all my devices.
I look forward to talking with you all, and welcome any advice / criticism too.

Welcome, bedford prepper That's good to have a baby bag, since you have two toddlers... I can't imagine what the logistics would be of bugging out with such little ones... what would make you do that? Great that you have medical training, though. How about home security, how are you fixed there?
