Hi all,
Food for free & foraging have been a hobby of mine for years (because I’m lazy and am not a keen gardener!) I’ve been using foraged foods in my cooking for a long time, including collecting shellfish, making homemade jams, jellies, curds and chutney etc but I’ve recently been thinking about food storage more and more as a way of stock piling for a rainy day.
I would like to start using the North American “canning” process for preserving fruit & veg in air tight jars. Have many of you tried this and with what success?
