Hi There

Post by thoughtfullyprepping »

I've been prepping for a 'few' years but I follow my own path, not conventional wisdom.

Our style is to move and forage for what we need.
So off grid living forms the main part of my skillset.

As for when to move?
I watch the events of today which could directly affect me and my own.

Thanks for the welcome.

You asked what I'm prepping for?
Everyday is different.
Today I'm split thinking.

One is the global situation.
Things are getting out of control but I'm hoping that Russia and China can calm things down.
Ultimately you've got to be thinking WW3 and loud bangs.
Thus worried about a total grid down and communications outages for a long time.
If enough nukes go off the supply chains will fail.
That will result in civil conflict. So that's personal protection.
Foraging will have to move to a whole new level.

As for the UK being nuked?
Always a possibility but unlikely and to what end outside of saying STFU and stop interferring 'Untied' Kingdom.

Brexit has cocked up one of our plans which was to move to somewhere our money would stretch further.
Still that might all change once Europe has moved on past the silly season aka elections.

Two is local.
Economic collapse, unlikely but inflation and a fixed income is worrying.
If it gets too far out of hand, we're foraging, urban style.

A Civil uprising? Not yet but coming.
Religious / ethnic / refugee conflict and terrorism, VERY likely.

Crime and knife crime in particular is a worry as we often pass through sometimes in 'less than nice' places.
That's self defence.

The Government cocking up our lives?
That's happened already thus we already live off grid.
This month will end up with us offically 'no fixed abode'. No bills! There is a plus side to everything.
Things will get worse for everyone only 'the many' can't see it happening.
Worse could include civil disturbance.

Still summer is coming. A time of plenty.
aka plenty of stuff to forage for free.
So prepping for this winter takes over from June 22.

Having said that, remember tomorrow is another day and so far June 22 is the only thing fixed regarding prepping.

:D

The blog isn't 100% prepping anymore, very non PC, and non multicultural in a lot of ways.
That's not quite in line with forum rules and as I've just signed up ? ? ? ? ?
