Ham Radio ID Transfer

I am have a Ham Technician license in the US (not sure what you call the first qual here). Do I need to transfer my licence and how do I do it?

Hi, we call our first licence a "foundation licence" using call signs M6 or now M7. Our next licence is "intermediate" and has a 2E0 call sign if your in england, the letter is a area locator so scotland is 2M0 wales is 2W0. Our last licence is "advanced/full" and is M0.

I don't think you can transfer a basic licence in the UK I think you would have to take a UK test, the advanced level can be transfered.

The foundation licence is very easy to take, but all clubs are shut due to corona. In the UK the licences are regulated by Ofcom, but the RSGB has phone numbers and info on their website and can offer better advice.
