Re: Sour dough
I love Herman! My starter has been on the go since last July! My children think its brilliant having something 'living' and bubbling away in the kitchen!

Re: Sour dough. Help with Herman
OK, rather then start a new thread I thought I'd post here
Got given a 'Herman' starter, Fed it, tended it, split it and used it..Great so far
I kept one portion and started it off again, this was going great guns until it got neglected........ Just found it again, is it dead? or can I get myself a Franken-Herman ??
What should I be looking for to tell if a starter has gone dodgy (smells, colours etc)
