Alright lads,
Quick and easy flat bread recipe with only dry ingredients (just add water). Can be stored in a container indefinitely and cooked, dry, on a flat rock by a fire, no oil/fat needed. Made these many times while camping in the last few years and always go down a treat.
Ingredients:
1 table spoon crushed fennel seeds
1 table spoon salt
1 table spoon curry powder
1 table spoon garlic powder
250 grams plain white flour + 50 grams for dusting
100 ml water
Method:
combine all ingredients in a medium sized bowl or large mess tin, add water 25 ml at a time until dough is just slightly sticky but firm. Leave to rest for half an hour then separate into 6 balls, dust with flour and work until thin as possible. Cook on a hot, flat rock by your fire for roughly half an hour. During the last 5 minuets the flat breads will puff up and you will be able to see steam emanating from small cracks that will have appeared. Leave to cool and get scranning.

Must give this a go, thanks for posting.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Excellent post! I make flatbreads at home every so often, and I always stop because they always taste like cardboard ...
Thanks!
Thanks!

Have a look at the HFW recipe I posted a little while earlier - they are delicious.
