just finnished a 12v portable power supply.
Housed in a large ammo box (mortar bomb type) with plywood deviders 2 low maintenance 12v battery's one ever end. in the middle is a 3 way cigar lighter socket with crocodile clips to connect to the battery's. some home made lighter socket type extension leads and 2x12v inspection lamps. in the box is also a inverter to provide 240v and a normal and solar battery charger to keep the battery's charged. May be useful if the power goes out or when camping. Bloody heavy though would not want to carry it on my own.

yes but they are gel type so will take being charged and discharging and they needed to fit in the box.
could not get leisure battery's of the right size but still looking.
