Well, I mentioned it might be good to start a new thread about dehydrating so here we go.
I'll kick off with some apple I'm doing today.
Standard bag of apples from the supermarket, lemon juice, corer.

Core and then slice the apples. Put them into apple juice and water, stops them going too brown.

Dry slightly ( use kitchen paper or tea towel) and arrange on tray from dehydrator.

This bag of apples filled 3 trays.

These should take about 9 hours. I'll add some more photos later.
I have made some before sprinkled with cinnamon which makes a nice change.
Apologies for the size of photo, taken with iPad!!!!
Finished product. Will be stored in a Kilner jar.

With a big sexy dehydrator like that one you can probably leave the food to dry by itself. With my westfalia £35 one, i have to stay in and check it and move stuff around, rearrange the trays during the process.
Must get more money and get more toys, erm, I mean.... kit... yea...kit

How do you use the dehydrated fruit
I have dehydrated banana and apple on my cereal sometimes but can't think of other day to day uses.
