Yep, works well, saves on some clean up too. :D

Camping trips where weight is an issue.

Both the chicken and the tuna can be re-hydrated as snacks or added to other items to make a main meal.


Also, it was an experiment to see if the end result was worth it. I think it was.As for LTS, if bulk became available at the right price I would definitely go for it.

Fair one mate, maybe my own preheld views but while I love tuna (and have quite a lot of tins of it) its not something I'd think of taking away, my own prejudices I guess. Just curious what you'd use it for 'out and about', I'm open to new ideas, can't see a Nicoise salad dehydrating well though. :P

Thing is; ones tastes change whilst hiking.

On a week trip in Norway, I couldn't stand oatmeal for brekkie after the 3rd day.

So 7am Shepherds Pie... nom nom nom :mrgreen:
