Mylar bags and oxygen absorbers - prices

Post by itsybitsy »

OK, folks, here we go:

• 10 x 14” bag (3.5mm) $0.50 cents each

• 300cc oxygen absorbers (recommended for the 10 x 14” bag) $0.25 cents each

• 19 x 29” bag (4.5mm) fits 5 or 6-gallon buckets $1.50 each

• 2000cc oxygen absorbers (recommended for the 19 x 29" bag) $1.00 each

Although these prices are inexpensive, the postage costs will obviously bump them up a bit. I won’t know how much shipping to the UK is until I know how much people intend to buy. We need a sizeable order; otherwise the shipping costs are going to be prohibitive. So I am not going to do this if people are ordering bags in twos and threes and a couple of oxygen absorbers.

How about asking if any members are heading to the USA and could bring them back over?

They could be sent from here then.

That'd get some funny looks at customs

but seriously, probably a lot more hassle than just paying the postage from the state which if memory serves wasn’t all that bad last time.

Anyway put me down for about 25 19 x 29” bag and 25 2000cc oxygen absorbers please :D

Because I don't want to inconvenience other members by asking them to schlep mylar bags and oxygen absorbers across the Atlantic.

You'd probably get arrested for being a 'food terrorist' when you try and leave the US!

I'm only after the smaller sizes to be honest.

Ideally 25 bags and 25 absorbers but I can up that if it 'makes it happen'.

No, that's fine. There's a few more who want them too, including me, so we should be fine. I was just concerned that folk would say "Yes, I'll take two bags and one oxygen absorber", which wouldn't really be ideal!

When would you be looking to get the money from people for this? :)
