In fact I've just re-read it and think its largely scaremongering and other than stating its from a leaked document can't verify their sources.
It also states the government is preparing, which in itself is pretty unbelievable

If you look at the 2009 pandemic flu plans the first people to get any vaccine were to be water and electricity supply workers and food supply workers (including hauliers), Health workers came after ensuring food water and power.
There was a BBC article recently on how close to the edge the food industry was in the last week or so. According to the supermarket execs very close. Removal of rules to stop them price fixing allowed them to share stock information and help each other out otherwise they would have had big problems ie no food on shelves at all.
So imagine Covid still active add flu, winter and Brexit no deal causing chaos at Dover and in the haulage industry.
I would love to see the actual presentation but nothing in the list surprises me. Simple one for me. No insulin is made in the UK. None. I get monthly prescriptions from my GP. I have little buffer. If insulin imports are delayed I can die in a matter of days.So no this is not scare mongering.

It isn't news.The government is planning,yes.Operation Yellowhammer.Yesterday's news,today's chip wrapper.
As for ensuring food supplies,we now know that to be a load of cobblers.When the shelves were stripped in March ,government put the ball labelled 'FOOD', firmly in the court of the big retailers.
How successful any form of government intervention is debatable: frankly,I don't think politicians can direct a pi## into a bucket!

Well,Covid is certainly possible,along with 'flu.Its taken this long since 2016 to sort Brexit,so it ain't gonna get sorted...perfect sh£t storm incoming!
